This course aims at polishing and refining already acquired speaking skills of intermediate level. Participants are given plenty of opportunities to discuss topics they can relate to in their daily lives in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Do you like reading English? Are you interested in classical as well as contemporary novels? Would Roald Dahl “Short Stories”, Daniel Defoe “Robinson Crusoe”, Ernest Hemingway “The Old Man and the Sea” or Jane Campbell “Cat Brushing” appeal to you? How do you feel about interpreting a poem? Do you want to get more out of the book you are currently reading? Can you imagine discussing your impressions with others who have also read this book? We buy our own books and meet once a week to read and discuss a novel or a short story. The texts are generally limited to around 200 pages and can be spread over several weeks to help you keep abreast with reading.
