We are going to read a continuous, very amusing story, which will make us familiar with everyday English and the tools for coping with it. An extra part on each double-page focuses on the necessary minimum of knowledge as well as on easy tests, helping us to practise and remember what we have just learned.

You are confident at B1 Level, but grammar has recently taken too much of a back seat? Let's consolidate your grammar skills practicing them in real-life situations with authentic texts & dialogues.

This course aims at polishing and refining already acquired speaking skills of intermediate level. Participants are given plenty of opportunities to discuss topics they can relate to in their daily lives in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Would Roald Dahl “Short Stories”, Daniel Defoe “Robinson Crusoe”, Ernest Hemingway “The Old Man and the Sea” or Jane Campbell “Cat Brushing” appeal to you? How do you feel about interpreting a poem? Do you want to get more out of the book you are currently reading? Can you imagine discussing your impressions with others who have also read this book? We buy our own books and meet once a week to read and discuss a novel or a short story. The texts are generally limited to around 200 pages and can be spread over several weeks to help you keep abreast with reading.

In this course you will have the opportunity to improve your spoken English and at the same time work on your grammar within the B1 level. Come and build up your confidence!
